Natural Mind
When we rest
in the inherent spaciousness of our unconditioned mind, we
experience a quality of uninhibited ease. We relax into a
peaceful state permeated by a sense of interconnection and
loving kindness toward all beings. Buddha "woke up" to this
quality and taught that everyone can realize the true nature
of mind.
Yet, we get caught up in the distractions of life. Habitual
thoughts run out of control and, if we follow this chatter, we
become uneasy or unhappy. We fall asleep to our true nature.
To reawaken, all we need to do is remain in the natural flow
of the undistracted mind. Just as melting snow streams
effortlessly down a mountain, we can experience life with
unimpeded love, joy and appreciation. Buddha's teachings offer
a pathway, a Dharma, which helps us to melt away habit
patterns through the practice of natural wisdom and
compassion.
The way is not difficult. It is all inscribed within the heart. We become still and listen to those teachings so close to us. We learn how the mind creates reality. We experience the emptiness of all that we create. Nothing is left but to benefit others. How wonderful! |
